The legitimacy of your achievements and how you obtain them are in no way affected by others and how they obtained theirs.Just open the chat, toggle on the admin mode (/admin) and type the code you want. How is ignoring the console commands any different from games that just don’t have them? You’re making a mountain out of a molehill for no reason. HOWEVER, nothing is stopping you from getting the achievements normally. You say that you don’t want to play games with console commands because they devalue the achievements. Is that in such a dire need of explanation?I think they, like me and probably many others, are just confused with your logic. Some people don't play sports games, others avoid 100 hour+ completions, I don't want to play games with CC and rather play something else. I don't really understand what these questions have to do with what I said. I think some people care more about what's ultimately a pointless number over the actual experience of playing a video game because it's good, or fun.īut you can do as you please of course, I just don't get it. There are people on TA who wouldn't play the best game in the world, if they couldn't get all the achievements. I loved Terraria, so the thought of not playing its more or less spiritual sequel, just because of achievements or CCs, almost feels like an alien concept to me. Achievements are the cherry on top, not the whole sundae as it were. So when I hear that some people won't play a game for a reason connected to achievements, I tend to not really understand.

I also called people on the phone back then. I wasn't as invested in gaming before achievements were a thing, that's for sure. Achievements are an evolution of gaming and it's hard for me to imagine it without them after 15+ years. I understand that many people won't agree with this but it is my subjective point of view because I feel that way.So out of interest do you join boosting sessions as some people would apply your argument to boosting and say you should get those achievements legitimately? When they are devalued completely, I'd rather play something else. Sure, I could still play it, but achievements are a huge part of the fun for me when playing a game. Seeing these kind of posts pop up for more and more games makes me kind of sad Uh.so just play it normally then? Why do CCs simply existing mean you can't still play and enjoy you know, a video game? I still played and loved Subnautica.Like I said, because there is nothing worthwhile left for me to achieve. There is just nothing there to actually achieve, which means I will never play it.

Not to diminish your effort to help others, but a game that offers console commands and/or mods to unlock all achievements in a few minutes is worthless to me as an achievement hunter.
